So what can you learn from a “GREEN EXPO?” I attended the green expo held last weekend at the Huntington Beach Library. These are great events and we will be seeing more of them as the desire to save energy and protect our environment continues to catch on. 
The Edison company was there with all kinds of good information; I even signed up for a free evaluation of my home to see where we are using too much energy. The gas company will also provide consumers with a free low flow shower head and low flow aerators for the water faucets in your home. All you have to do is sign a form saying you agree to use them! Of course we will, why wouldn’t we???

Rainbow Disposal was there and their representatives were very helpful! I learned we do not have to thoroughly wash out containers before we put them in the recycle bin. Also, if you have old medicines of course do not flush down the toilet. Take them to your local disposal location. Never ever mix with the recycle bin or just throw in the regular trash!
Now, here is something that is a strong rumor on the street….not verified by any of the utility companies, but I heard from a knowledgeable source that there will be a cash for clunkers with home appliances!! That will be great news for lots of us! Watch out for that one!
